Labradoodles were original created in Australia, for a blind woman who wanted an assistance dog, but was allergic to dog fur, so she couldn’t have one.
In 1989 Wally Conran took the intelligent easily trainable Labrador, and the allergy friendly Poodle, and crossed them. This then produced a intelligent, allergy friendly dog.
